Sri Purushottama Tirtha
Sri Purushottama Tirtharu is tenth
in the authorized lineage of Sri Madhvacaryaru.
Sri Purushottama Tirtharu lived
mostly at Channapatna or Abbur in Karnataka. He had his own monastery, which he
later entrusted to his disciple Sri Sridhara Tirtharu. This monastery survives
today and is called the Kundapura Vyasaraja Mutt. Sri Purushottama Tirtha’s
accredited literary work was a gloss on the Tatparya
of Sri Jaya Tirtharu. He departed the world in 1416.
Sri Brahmanya Tirtharu is the
direct desciple of Sri Purshottama Tirtharu.

entered Guha alive and never turned back.
