Rajamudi Utsav also known as Ashtateerthotsav is a festival conducted for ten days. Every day Sri Shatari (paduka of Lord Narayana) is taken in Procession to one of the Holy ponds called theerta, then on the fourth day of the Festival Deity is decorated with Rajamudi crown. This Festival was first organised by His Highness Raja Wodayar, and the crown Rajamudi with other 14 ornaments like pendant, with Ganda Berunda and padma peetha etc., donted were by Raja wadayar.
