It is the
utsavam marking purification of temple. This utsavam is performed marked of
purification. The utsavam is conducted for seven days starting form bhadrapada
shuddha ekadashi. In the main hall with four dwaras and mahakumbha pooja, mandala aradhara vahanotsava, and
chanting all four Vedas is important. This pavitrostsavam is held at Melkote on
this auspicious day. Piligrims from
different states participate in the event.
