Significance
Amruthalakshmi Vrata is annually
observed in Ashada Month. The vrata is dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi, the Hindu
goddess of wealth and prosperity. This Vrata is observed for attaining peace
and prosperity.
Observance
The fast on the day is from
sunrise to sunset. A single meal is taken on the day. Important prayers
dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi are chanted on the day. Performing various types
of dana like food donation, cloth
donation etc., are considered highly meritorious.
Amrita Lakshmi Vrata is observed in Ashada Shukla Paksha during the waxing phase of moon.
